Are you saved?
|
 |
|
Can you see the Kingdom of
God? If yes, you have been born again and if
no, you need to accept Jesus now!
|
Jesus, God's only begotten Son, loves you and
wants you in His Kingdom!
- You need to recognize yourselves as a born
Sinner and lost for eternity. All have sinned
(Rom.3:23).
- Soon as you look at Christ, you can see
yourselves and the closer you come to Jesus, the
more faulty and sinful you see yourselves. The
apostle Paul came so close to Christ that he saw
himself as the greatest Sinner even after his
miraculous conversion.
Jesus said: If I be lifted up, I will draw all
man unto Me. Not lifted up in self-esteem like
Satan, but humbled onto the cruel cross of
Calvary. It wasn't that the apostle Paul was
sinning, he said that he died to sin daily
(Gal.2:20). It was because he had come
very close to our model Jesus.
- The Bible says that it is impossible to save
yourselves by any means and that includes good
deeds, works or behaviour. The Bible also says
that: "We are saved only by the death of
Jesus Christ but much more by His sinless
life (Rom.5:10)
- As so very much and all important the death of
our Savior from sin is, His sinless life and role
as our great high Priest and Intercessor above in
Heaven is even more important.
This is a little hard to believe at first, but if
we were all saved at the cross 2000 years ago,
there would be no need for Jesus today.
But the Christian in His/Her battle against sin,
need our Savior from sin. Jesus does not save in
sin (Matthew 1:21).
- Need a Starter Motor? It is God's holy moral Law
of the Ten Commandments! Look at all Ten of
them and ask yourselves: "Am I sin
sick"?
Need a strong and fully charged Battery to fire
the engines and your starter motor? Ask God for
His holy Spirit of truth to guide and fill
you!!!
God is more willing to give us His powerful
holy spirit than we are willing to give gifts to
our own children.
- "The Law is our schoolmaster to bring us
to Christ so that we may be justified by
faith"
(Gal.3:24). What does this mean? The Law
of Moses as well as the Ten Commandments point out
our sins and therefore the dire need of a
"Divine" and not human Savior. Faith is
believing and trusting in God's divine plan of
salvation which He gave to Moses in form of the
Temple/Tabernacle and Sanctuary services. The
innocent little Lamb presenting Christ the Lamb of
God who takes away our sins.
But then the officiating ordinary Priest had to
take the blood and sprinkle it in front of the
altar of sacrifice. Then the high Priest carried
the blood into the holiest of holies, the presence
of God where God's throne and the ark of the
covenant/testament contained His holy moral Law of
the Ten Commandments. The ark contains only
what God Himself wrote and not what Moses wrote.
God wrote with His own finger on two tables of
stone while Moses wrote on papyrus, or paper
scrolls.
Now Faith
God uses two combined methods to bring faith into
our lives. Firstly, faith comes by hearing or studying
the Word of God, the Bible (Rom.10:17).
Secondly, we cannot see the kingdom of God by
ourselves, so by asking God for help, He will give you
His holy Spirit. One of the fruit of the spirit
is "Faith" (Gal5:22). Jesus is called
the AUTHOR of Faith and Hebrews 11 has a chapter on
faith.
So, lets summarize:
We cannot save ourselves. We need to accept
Jesus now and let Him save us at the cross,
here, today. We need to keep looking at Jesus Christ
and His cross. We also need to realize that we are
sinners and lost for eternity unless we accept and
long for the sinless Jesus now. We need to look
closely at God's holy Law (Ex.20) and where it is
situated, i.e. in heaven under God's throne and mercy
seat (Hebr.8:1-5) to bring us to Jesus. Then we need
to study prayerfully the Bible daily.
This is very important because the opposition Leader,
the Devil will not let you go.
When the gospel seed is planted, he will desperately
try and snatch it from you.
Jesus is the most wonderful Savior from sin, and
He lifted me from under the condemnation of the Law to
be with Him in spirit and truth. He has set me free
and the Law which once condemned me, is now my guide
and Law of freedom and liberty (see James 2:8-12).
If the great Satan, the great Archdeceiver tells
you that we are saved without the Law, tell him that
this is true. Jesus is our Saviour from sin and not
the Law. It cannot save us.
But then also tell Satan that he always only quotes
half the story. Like he did to Jesus in the
wilderness.
satan hates Christ and so he naturally hates
Christ's holy Sabbath day (Mark 2:28) which is the
fourth of the Ten Commandments under God's mercy seat
in heaven. Look at Rev.12:17 and see where Satan and
his evil spirits are directing their warfare against.
Satan will also try and tell you that no one can
keep the Ten Commandments holy. Which one would be to
hard for Christ empowered Christians to keep?
1.)Always swearing their heads off?
2.) Always taking God's name in vain?
3.) Wanting to worship idols and other god's?
4.) Violating and forgetting God's Sabbath day to keep
it holy?
5.) Refusing to honor your parents or those in
Authority?
6.) Tempting to hate and kill or self-murder?
7.) To hard to be faithful to ones spouse?
8.) Sticky fingers?
9.) False witness?
10.) discontent and coveting?
Churchianity
When the church of Christ preached pure doctrines,
the Devils were raging mad and persecuted them.
Christians were so careful of not offending or denying
their Lord, that they even refused the smallest token
of disloyalty such as putting a little incense to
Goddess Diana in Roman times which would have saved
their necks. But Jesus had said that he/she which
denies Me before the World that person will I also
deny before my Father in heaven. Apostolic new
testament Christians were uncompromising
Persecution kept the church clean
No cold hearted professors found there! But then
Satan changed tactics and instead of persecuting from
without, he and all his fallen angels disguised as
goats in sheep clothing mixed and fights from within
ever since. The spirit of compromise is seen
everywhere today in the churches
God says that: "Friendship with the world is
enmity with God". (James 4:4).
Why? Because the human heart is carnal and cannot love
God's Ten Commandments (Rom.8:7;3,4).
The law
of duty [to God] is supreme. It claims authority
over reason and conscience, over talents and
possessions. It will admit no rival, and will not
for one moment abate its high demands. It enters into
no compromise with any oppressive power of earth. In
every act of duty we are hiding self in Jesus. We
reach out beyond ourselves, beyond the narrow scope of
selfish and present gratification. Obedience to
God brings the soul into agreement with the highest
laws in the universe. It imparts dignity and
true greatness to the humblest occupation where Christ
can preside. It crowns the lowliest position in life
with the highest honors, bringing men into alliance
with God and binding up His interests with plans and
purposes that have existence in the infinite mind from
eternity.
The
Lord Jesus Christ has paid the price for you, not
to secure a mere assent to the truth, but for heart
service. He desires the homage of your soul.
You cannot cease to believe that you ought to do the
will of God. You can no more release yourself from the
claims of duty than you can flee from the presence of
God. It is only in obedience to God that you
will realize true happiness.
I
entreat you to open the door of your heart and let
your Saviour in. Give Him the whole heart--that which
He has purchased. Ever bear in mind that it is you
who must choose. God forces no man. He has chosen
you, and engraven your name in the palms of His hands.
Will you not give yourself fully to Him? Time is
short. You have not a moment to lose in hesitation.
The divine Word is in your hands, to be a lamp to your
feet and a light to your path." Upward Look,
p. 25.
Battle
between spirit and flesh becomes very real when
you become a new born Christian. The still small voice
of God's holy Spirit will whisper of what is right and
proper for you to do, but the flesh loudly strives
always for the mastery.
This battle is described by Paul in Romans seven
as "For I know that the Law is
spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For
that which I do I allow not; for what I would, that I
do not; but what I hate, that I do.
If I then do which I would not, I consent unto the Law
that it is good. Now then it is no more I that
do it, but sin that dwells in me.
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no
good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to
perform that which is good I find not "(in me).
I find then a Law, that, when I would do good, evil is
present with me. (Rom.7:14-21).
The
Law here described are no doubt the moral Law of the
Ten Commandments (v.7) and the Law he found inside
himself is the sinful Law of heredity inherited from
Adam and Eve.
In Romans eight Paul gives the solution to the
dilemma: " For what the Law could not
do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending
His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh; and for
sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
That the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled
in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit".
Why
does God say 'might' be fulfilled in us? Because not
every Christian is willing to battle the sin problem
and overcome as Jesus did.
I remember a time
when I was very good at doctrines, but my Christian
graces were lacking. Until I started learning in
the school of Jesus Christ that as born again Babes we
have to grow up into Christ and overcome all our
natural tendencies of anger, temper, unloving thoughts
etc. etc. etc. etc.
Truth is cutting and it always hurts. Our pride and
self-sufficiency are our greatest enemies. We like to
lay in a field of ease and pleasures, have Paradise
here on earth.
Fulfilling the Law inside us, quoted above, is also
found in Hebrews chapters 8 and 10 where it tells us
that the new testament covenant consists of God
writing His holy Law inside us which point out our
sins.
In Galatians Paul also confirms the Christian battle
against sin : " For the flesh lusts against
the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and
these are contrary one to the other: so that you
cannot do the things you want to do."
(Gal.5:17).--- All quotes are from the
King James version of the Bible. This version is
the most trustworthy and come to us from 'Textus
receptus, the received text'. Just remember that
modern translations have to alter at least 20% of the
original content in order to receive their
copyrights.
One
important thing to remember is, that the four gospels
and all of the New Testament is an explanation of the
Old Testament.
If you are fortunate enough to own an old KJV Bible,
you can see how the Apostles quoting from the Old and
adding their explanation to it. In this way, you less
likely suffer deceptions from those who would like to
lead you astray from Christ's path of righteousness.
The Gentile church is not a separate identity
The Judaizers at Galatia were contending that the
Gentiles had to become children of Abraham means of
certain changes in their flesh. The apostle Paul did
not dispute the necessity of Gentiles becoming part
of the Israel of GOD. Indeed, "all Israel shall be
saved," and only Israel-for as JESUS said,
"Salvation is of the Jews." [John 4:22].
The apostle refuted the wrong method of trying to
incorporate the Gentiles into the Israel of GOD. His
message was clear: Abraham was justified by faith,
and every Gentile who is justified by faith, becomes
a son of Abraham [Gal. 3:8]. The promises were made
to the seed of Abraham, and Christ is that Seed.
Therefore, all who are truly baptized into CHRIST
are in CHRIST and are part of Abrahams' seed [Gal.
3:28,29].
Those who have become new creatures by faith in
JESUS and walk according to the rule of faith are
"The Israel of GOD" Gal. 6:15,16
Gentiles who believe the gospel become "fellow
heirs" with the faithful Jews. They do not make up a
separate body, but they become fellow heirs, and of
the same body, and partakers of his promise in
Christ by the gospel.---Eph.3:6
The Gentiles, "Being a wild olive tree, wert grafted
in among them {the Jews], and with them partakest of
the root and fatness of the olive tree.---Rom.11:17.
Once aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and
strangers from the covenants of promise, the
Gentiles are "made nigh by the blood of
CHRIST.-Eph.2:12,13
Being now children of Abraham, part of the
commonwealth of Israel and partakers of of GOD's
promises to Israel, believing Gentiles make up
"the house of Israel to whom the new covenant is
given:
"FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE
HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAITH THE LORD; I
WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MIND, AND WRITE THEM IN
THEIR HEARTS: AND I WILL BE TO THEM A GOD, AND THEY
SHALL BE TO ME A PEOPLE." ---Heb.8:10

Pentecost is not the start of the Christian Church
because it says that 3000 souls were "added" Acts
2:41! From Act 10:9-15 we can see how GOD made it
clear to the Jewish disciples the He [GOD] would now
accept Gentiles.
